Here’s a look at some of the proven, powerful outcomes that can result from implementing meaningful, adapted activities:

    • Reduced disruptive (responsive) behaviors with less agitation, shouting, and wandering.
    • Noticeable reduction in signs of depression.
    • Enhanced quality of sleep.
    • Reduced rate of cognitive decline and preservation of independence.
    • Decreased need for medical prescriptions.
    • Overall improvement in well-being and daily life satisfaction.

If only a few of these benefits were achieved, imagine the positive impact on the environment and quality of life of a person living with dementia.

Join us for a 2-hour conference designed specifically for professionals and other care partners who interact with individuals living with dementia.

This session will provide valuable insights into how to create and present activities adapted for cognitive impairments using the Montessori method.

Activities for All Stages of Dementia

We’ve expanded our online conference ‘Creating and Presenting Activities Adapted for the Cognitively Impaired’ to better meet the needs of individuals at all stages of dementia. Based on attendee feedback, we’ve added new content tailored to advanced-stage dementia, while still maintaining a strong focus on moderate stages.

These additions include practical examples and strategies for meaningful engagement in the later stages of the disease, ensuring the session offers value to everyone seeking to provide purposeful and adapted activities for those with cognitive impairments.

“In our trainings, we note that Maria Montessori would say “The child will lead us.” We tell our trainees, “The residents will lead us. Where will they take us? We do not know. At this time, they do not know. It is life, and it will be an adventure.”  ~ Dr. Cameron J. Camp
